Gardnerville couple married 50 years

Rita and Bill Lovelady celebrated their 50-year wedding anniversary on Sept. 30.

They are parents of one son and one daughter. Their son, Mark Lovelady, his wife Dee Dee and their two daughters Cassy and Amanda live in Dayton. Their daughter Patti Shores, husband "Bob" Robert Shores and their two daughters, Lisa and Sara live in Carson City.

They celebrated their 50 years together at the Carson Nugget Steak House with their children and grandchildren. They had celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary at the Carson Nugget in 1961, where they were entertained by "Little Jimmy Dickens."
