Morgan LeFever moved past Michelle Shearer on the Northern 4A career goals list with her four-goal performance against Hug Tuesday afternoon and now needs just four more to break the record.

LeFever had a hand in all of Douglas' goals in a 6-0 victory at Hug in girls' soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

She now has 52 career goals, just three short of Julia Spaulding (55, 1997-1999) and one short of Christina Bradshaw (53, 2001-2004). She also has 22 on the season, which is just one short of tying the Northern 4A mark for goals in a season.

Delaney Battista and Rachel Van Roy each had their second goals of the season in the win, while LeFever had two assists and Katie Nalder and Michelle Day each had one.

LeFever opened up the scoring quickly, punching in a goal in the second minute and another in the sixth.

Battista had her goal in the ninth minute, giving Douglas the early 3-0 lead.

Douglas backed off through the rest of the first half before LeFever scored two more times in the second half and Van Roy scored another.

Jamie Greer posted her fourth shutout of the season, making one save on the afternoon.

Douglas (8-5-4, 6-3-3) has outscored its opponents 50-24 this season and appears to have clinched a playoff spot as even if it lost its last two games and Damonte Ranch won its last two, the Tigers would still have more ties, giving them the edge.
