There will be another week of road construction on Highway 50 near Glenbrook where the highway will be down to two lanes. The speed limit is 35 mph and travel delays of up to 10 minutes are anticipated, according to the Nevada Department of Transportation. Work is expected to wrap up by the real Nevada Day, Oct. 31. Meanwhile work on Spooner Summit is supposed to continue through the winter. Incline Village General Improvement District was working on Highway 28 just past Sand Harbor on Friday, so if you have to go to Incline, watch out.
Early voting will continue at the Minden Inn this week starting at 8 a.m. on weekdays. The first of the roving polls will be 3:30-7 p.m. Thursday at the Indian Hills General Improvement District boardroom, 3400 James Lee Park Drive.
There are only 15 days left until the Nov. 7 election.
It looks like the weather will be cooperating for Nevada Day weekend, with highs in the 60s and 70s and clear skies for the foreseeable future, according to the National Weather Service.
