The Carson Valley Basketball Association, in conjunction with the Austin Kirby Foundation, will host an Alaskan King Crab Feed tonight at the St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville.
With the football team facing the prospect of moving its first few home games due to construction on the field, the association is hoping to make funds available to all the sports programs at the school. The all-sports boosters are facing an uphill battle this year as a good portion of their funds are raised through snack bar and program sales during home football games.
No-host cocktails and a silent auction begins at 5 p.m. and dinner begins at 6:30 p.m.
Some items for the silent auction include a trip to San Diego with air fare included, some antique items and some other major surprise items.
Tickets cost $50 for the all-you-can-eat event. Dinners will include baked potatoes, salad, bread and dessert.
For more information on the event, or to buy tickets, call Nonie Olson at 782-3667, Denise Rudnick at 782-2277 or Patty Clark at 782-7111.
