This weekend Carson Valley will be hip deep in Porsches as members of the Porsche Club of America make Gardnerville part of their annual concourse.
Up to 60 of the German cars will visit Lampe Park on Sunday after spending Saturday at the Carson Valley Inn and having lunch at JT Basque Bar & Dining Room in Gardnerville.
Concourse chairman Richard Wyett, of Reno, said it will be the first time the club has visited Carson Valley.
"I like the idea that we're a club that can cover all of Northern Nevada," he said of the club's first Nevada foray outside of Reno. "We'll be gearing up to do different events in all these places, Yerington, Minden, Lake Tahoe."
The chapter's zone covers all the way from Monterey Bay into Northern Nevada.
On Sunday the cars will be at Lampe Park where judging for the annual contest will be held.
"The public is welcome to come out and view the cars," he said.
Drivers from all over Northern California and Nevada will attend this weekend's event.
Saturday afternoon, there will be a meet and greet event at the Carson Valley Inn.
