The Douglas Pop Warner Junior Pee Wee football team beat Truckee 32-0 Friday night with a dominating defense and explosive offense.
The defense was led by Brandon Valdez, who set the tempo for Douglas as he intercepted the first play of the game.
Matt Jones also had an interception and Tyler Seamons forced a fumble.
The defensive line led the charge with Kaleb Foster, Josh Curtis, Seth Trivitt, Wyatt Eichhorst, Ty Hoffman, Kole Ackerson, Ian Pielier, Taylor Seamons and Cameron Fricke.
The defensive ends and corners played hard, led by Taylor Souza, Brennan Neilon, Reid Winans and Joseph Petrali.
The defense didn't allow a single first down in the game.
The offense was led by great blocking from Colton Waggoner, Ryan Phillips, Mitchell McIntosh, Kyle McDaniel, Daniel Long, Wyatt Leonard, Mason Garduno, Austin Dickey, Ben Cochran, Nathan Clinger, Tim Chandler and Justin Carney.
Cody Carter led the way with two rushing touchdowns while Bryce Balanger, Austin Ball and Conner Lyons each had a touchdown.
Quarterback Wes Hundley added an extra point and controlled the play calling.
The junior pee wees play tonight against the Reno Patriots at Stodick Park at 6 p.m.
