A body found Sept. 10 in the hills above Johnson Lane has been identified as an airplane mechanic reported missing on Aug. 27.

Robin Raymond Bodden, 50, was identified by the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Forensic Science Division using DNA.

The cause of death and autopsy report are pending toxicology results.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator Ron Elges at 782-9905 or Secret Witness at 78-CRIME.

Sheriff Ron Pierini said Monday that it would take up to six weeks to determine the cause of death.

"We're still investigating Mr. Bodden's death as if it were a homicide, and we always do on cases like this," Pierini said.

"We have a couple of detectives assigned to the case and will continue to do so until the information from the coroner gives us direction as to the actual cause."

Pierini said Bodden's family was devastated by the news.

"You always hope for the best, but in this case it turned out to be him," Pierini said.

He said he couldn't comment if the victim's wife, Karen Bodden, 43, was a suspect.

Bodden's wife, Karen Bodden was taken into custody Sept. 11 in connection with an alleged theft from the dead man's business.

Bodden's sister is the person who reported him missing.
