Tyler May ran for 215 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Douglas junior varsity football team to a 50-30 victory over Damonte Ranch Friday night.
Eric Oka carried five times for 35 yards and a touchdown and Andrew DeWitt carried five times for 20 yards and a touchdown.
Zach McFadden had a 60-yard touchdown on an interception return as well.
Quarterback Tim Rudnick completed two passes for 68 yards in the win as well.
The Douglas freshman squadpicked up a 21-6 win over Damonte to complete the football sweep.
VOLLEYBALL
The Douglas junior varsity squad continued their winning streak by beating South Tahoe 25-15, running its record to 11-0.
Libero Alyssa Hamilton played well as her digs adn well-rounded defense/passing helped with the overall control of the match.
Jordan Marsh served for five straight points and had 14 assists on the night.
Chloe Trudell also contributed 12 assists. Mel Brown had five kills, Edna Meza had four kills and Christine DuPuis had four kills.
Mysta Townsell served 12 straight points with four aces. Katrina Morgan had three kills along with six consecutive service points.
The freshman squad beat South Tahoe 25-15, 25-17 to improve to 10-1 on the year.
