While the Douglas girls' soccer team had remained unbeaten at home through their first two tries, the Lady Tiger had yet to taste victory on their home turf.
Until Saturday.
Douglas rattled off seven goals to take a 7-1 victory over Hug Saturday, improving to 1-0-2 at home, 4-3-3 overall and 2-1-2 in league play this season.
Michelle Day scored her first two goals of the year and Morgan LeFever scored her 10th goal of the season and 40th of her career to lead the Tigers.
"It was a great team effort today," Douglas coach Lorraine Fitzhugh said. "Everything came together and we went to the ball really well as a team.
"The girls played well in their triangle and were just passing well. We have a strong foundation being built."
Ally Freitas scored the opening goal and Douglas rolled from there.
Megan Emerson scored on a Delaney Battista assist, Krista Anderson scored, and Katie Nalder punched one in as well.
Douglas traveled to No. 6 Reno Tuesday night and will host Wooster Saturday at 3 p.m.
