Casino slashing case goes to jury

The jury is out in the attempted murder case against a Bay area DJ who said he was in fear for his life when he slashed two casino security guards in their necks.

Justin Ready, 25, is accused of slashing the two guards during an altercation at a Harrah's night club.

Closing arguments wrapped up at 3 p.m. today and the case was given to the jury six men and six women for deliberations.

The jury could find Ready guilty of two counts of attempted murder, two counts of battery with a deadly weapon causing substantial bodily harm, two counts of battery with a deadly weapon or innocent.

The verdict will be posted on recordcourier.com as soon it is rendered.
