The Coleville High School baseball team picked up two wins last week, topping the Whittell Warriors at Lampe Park 18-9, and beating league foe Smith Valley 6-2.
Against Whittell, Trevor Anderson, Jason Peters and Colton Ward each took a turn on the mound and Peters led the offense with a 3-for-4 performance.
Against Smith Valley, Anderson pitched six innings, giving up only one hit. Peters closed out the game, striking out three in the seventh.
"We don't have the most talent in the league, that is for sure," Coleville coach Matt Carter said. "But we do have the right guys to do something special this year."
Sophomore Dylan Hudson, Anderson and Peters each went 2-for-4 in the win. Senior Mark Brown and freshman Terrence Garcia each had one hit.
