The Douglas High golf team took fifth at the Sierra League tournament at Sierra Sage Golf Course Tuesday.

Carson won the event with a 382, South Tahoe took second (405), Reno took third (406) and Damonte Ranch took fourth (444).

Thomas Wicker led the Tigers, shooting an 83, followed by Reese Kizer with an 84, Keith Young (92), Connor Witt (95) and Raymond Feldmiller (98).

Carson's Kevin Goles was the individual medalist at the event, shooting a 72.

The week prior, Douglas did not register a team score as one player was unable to finish the tournament due to sickness.

Wicker again led the way with an 80, Eric Guzman shot an 84, Trevor Mitchell had an 87 and Feldmiller finished with 98.

Douglas has been at less than full strength because of spring break.

The Tigers next compete in a Sierra League tournament at Washoe Golf Course on April 10 at noon.
