Hilltop Community Church theater will present "The Magician's Nephew," a dramatization by Aurand Harris adapted from the story by C.S. Lewis, first published in 1955, the sixth of seven "Chronicles of Narnia."


"The story tells a tale of creation, beauty, hope, corruption, healing and strength," said Debbie Lambin who plays the peacock. "The plot is about Digory's desperation to find a cure for his sick mother, at the same time dealing with his zany uncle who is always concocting magic instead of reality."


The time and place is 1880 England and other worlds.


"'The Magician's Nephew' takes the audience to worlds unknown, to charming creatures risen from the dust of the earth, and to a lion who rules with strength, majesty and, most of all, love," said Lambin.


More than 40 people ages 5 to 65 are part of this production.


The performances are:


-- 6:30 p.m. today


-- 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Saturday

-- 2 p.m. Sunday


All performances will be held at Hilltop Community Church at 3616 Sunridge Drive. Tickets for all four shows are free. Donations are appreciated.
