Tahoe Area Sierra Club will conduct its monthly community meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, at the Tahoe-Douglas Fire Station on Elk Point Road, in Zephyr Cove (turn west at signal at Round Hill, second building on the left).

Additional parking on Dorla Court, the next street to the west. Doors open at 6:10 p.m..

Washoe Tribal leader and teacher, Art George Jr., will show his film, "WASHESHU."

It explains how they were able to keep their aboriginal homeland in Lake Tahoe and the Carson and Eagle valleys in balance with nature for over 10,000 years.

George said the Washoe have a voice that cries to be heard about preservation of the natural resources.
