The Carson/Douglas high school rodeo team hosted its cutting competition Friday and then hosted the Lincoln County cutting competition as well. Both events were at Corley Ranch.
Douglas senior Alyce Kugler won all four go-rounds with scores of 74, 73 and 73, 74.
She rode her gelding Smart Uno Freckle for the first two go-rounds and rode a new mare the family just purchased three days prior to the competition for the second two wins.
Jonathan Glocknitzer of Gardnerville also had a strong day, winning both go-rounds of the Carson/Douglas competition with two scores of 73. He took second and third in the Lincoln County competition.
Byron Kreck tied for seventh, took sixth, fifth and tied for sixth in the four go-rounds.
Cory Hershkowitz placed third in the bareback competition at Douglas County Fairgrounds Saturday and Elyse Heberger took seventh in the barrels competition Sunday.
Kreck teamed with Tia Tomburello to take 10th in the team roping competition Sunday.
