Two appear in court in trafficking case

A 46-year-old Gardnerville man arrested for trafficking in methamphetamine waived a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.

Scott Fonger, who was arrested March 28 in a drug sting, appeared in East Fork Justice Court.

Fonger will appear before District Court Judge Dave Gamble on Tuesday.

A woman arrested with Fonger, Carson City resident Twila Leeling asked that Justice of the Peace Jim EnEarl delay her hearing.

Leeling, 43, of Carson City, will appear again on April 25 after her attorney Jack Sheehan said negotiations with prosectors are still ongoing.
