Douglas County's Child Support Enforcement Division is moving to a 1,630-square-foot office in the Minden Creamery Complex. Commissioners unanimously approved the lease with Bently Holdings Corporation for $1,806 per month.
The bulk of that money will be reimbursed by Nevada's Child Support Enforcement Program. The county's net cost will be $471.04 per month plus cleaning services.
District Attorney Mark Jackson said five employees share a very small office space with limited storage. There are space issues throughout the building and this move will ease the crowding.
"Douglas County's Child Support Division has won a number of awards and commendations, but they are on top of each other," said District Attorney Mark Jackson. "The net cost to the county is very cheap and the space is much needed."
