Farmers' market opens May 23

Opening day for the 10th season of the farmers' market in Gardnerville is about to commence. Wednesdays, starting May 23, farmers and vendors will offer their goods 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Lampe Park, Gardnerville. The market keeps with a "food, farm or dirt" pollicy and has everything from "seriously fresh produce" to outdoor decor. The farmer's market lasts through Sept. 19. The farmers' market is presented by Sierra Farmers' Markets and the Douglas County Parks & Recreation Department.
