Wine, food, great gifts and of course fashion will be featured at the Sierra Nevada Active 20-30 Club's third annual Spring Fashion Show Extravaganza held at Genoa Lakes Golf Resort from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Sunday. Proceeds will benefit special needs children and their programs in Douglas County.
Silent auction items, such as tickets to the Oakland A's and San Francisco Giants games, a gas grill donated by Minden Grill Company, Inc., wine baskets, specialty massages, dining at Barone & Reed Food Co., have been donated by local businesses to help raise money for the children of Douglas County.
Fashions will be provided by local stores including Gottschalks, Baby Willows, Belle's Boutique, Pazazz, Hot Cha Cha, Watermelon Patch and Especially For You. The event will showcase clothing for men, women and children and will suit every occasion.

Community projects and fundraisers are at the heart of the Sierra Nevada Active 20-30 Club. Each woman in the club is between the ages of 20 and 39, and anyone is welcomed to join.
The 20-30 clubs, which are in nine different countries, donate thousands of dollars a year back to their community in support of local charities and children's groups. Events such as the Fashion Show Extravaganza are staged for the benefit of children throughout the area.
Whether it's assisting with physically, mentally or socially challenged children, providing aid to youth groups, or participating at various fundraising events, all members contribute to the betterment and welfare of the community and its youth.
