The Douglas boys' golf team finished fifth at a Sierra League match at Rosewood Lakes Tuesday afternoon.

Tiger freshman Thomas Wicker came up just a few strokes short of individual medalist honors, shooting a 79, compared to Carson's Kevin Goles, who shot a 77 to win the tournament.

Reese Kizer shot an 84, Eric Guzman finished with 96, Troy Shields had a 96 and Connor Witt finished with 103.

Carson won its fifth-consecutive tournament of the year while South Tahoe took second, Reno took third and Wooster finished fourth.

Douglas finished four strokes behind Wooster, which leaves the Tigers two cup points behind the Colts heading into the final match of the season.
