A red flag warning has been issued for Western Nevada by the National Weather Service at 6:09 a.m. for 1-8 p.m. today due to gusty winds and low humidity. West winds will increase along the Sierra Front early this afternoon with gusts of up to 35 mph and humidity of less than 10 percent. This combination makes any spark-inducing activity in the wilderness a potential fire starter. If you're playing or working in the outback, remember to carry a shovel and plenty of aqua, because you may have to put out a fire.
On the other side of the front rolling in will be a brief cool spell and even a slight chance of rain. The high on Sunday will be 84 and then will slowly climb to 87 by Wednesday.
