Cinda Rene Anderson
1957-2007
A memorial service will be announced at a later date for Cinda Rene Anderson, 50, an 11-year resident of Gardnerville, who died July 30, 2007, in Gardnerville.
Ms. Anderson was born July 15, 1957, to Don Anderson and Carol Toye in Corvallis, Ore. She graduated from Campbell High School in Campbell, Calif. She worked locally in the fields of auto parts and house painting. An avid gourmet cook and antique collector, she also ran a small merchandise business out of her home.
She was a limousine driver for many years in the San Francisco Bay area and a mini-bus driver for Enid Oklahoma Transfer Service.
Ms. Anderson enjoyed helping people and was highly revered by family and friends alike. She will surely be missed by everyone that knew her.
She is survived by her son Cody Corsetti and mother Carol Long, both of Gardnerville; brother and sister-in-law Brent Anderson and Shirley Johnston of Windsor, Calif.; brother and sister-in-law Aaron and Carol Anderson of Sunnyvale, Calif.; nephews Bryce, Adam and Benjamin; niece Robyn and her many friends in the Gardnerville, Enid, Okla. and San Jose, Calif., areas.

Henry Charles Horn
1928-2007
A celebration of life will take place 2 p.m. Saturday at 1A Harbor Rd. in Dayton for Henry Charles Horn, 79, who died Aug. 5, 2007 at the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center in Carson City.
Mr. Horn was born May 3, 1928 in Philadelphia to Ernest P. and Pauline Horn. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1956.
He married Regina A. Hoade, Sept. 10, 1955 in Philadelphia.
He received his advanced education at the General Motors Institute of Technology and spent his working career as a technical writer/editor for the Hewlett Packard Company and a manager of Mini-Maxi Storage.
He was a member of the NRA and loved photography, writing, fishing and exploring Nevada's mining towns. Mr. Horn has been a resident of Minden for eight years, moving here from Las Vegas.
Mr. Horn was preceded in death by his wife Regina A. Horn, April of 1999 in Las Vegas; brother Calvin L. Horn, November 1944 in England and his sister Ethel G. Snyder.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law Frank E. Horn of Minden, Henry C. and Barbara Horn of Ore., David T. and Debbie Horn of Ore.; brothers Ernest S. Horn of Carson City, Ludwig and wife Amy Horn of Chicago; sister Pauline M. McCabe of Florida; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are in the care of FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Carson City. Cremation to take place at FitzHenry's in Carson City.
Mary Nannini
1914-2007
There will be a noon Mass today at St. Victor's Church in San Jose for Mary Nannini, 92, who died Aug. 4, 2007 in Gardnerville.
Mrs. Nannini was born Sept. 10, 1914, in Chicago to Frank and Geroma Amadeo.
The youngest of six siblings, Mrs. Nannini came to California with her family where they were ranchers in the Tulare area and then moved to San Jose where they had apricot and prune ranches.
She graduated from San Jose High School and worked at Mayfair Packing for about 20 years where she retired. She moved to Nevada in 2002 to be close to her daughters.
She was a giving and loving person to her family and friends and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her daughters Rosemarie Dains and Diane Brackett, sons-in-law Ed and Robert; three grandchildren Mike, Jarrod and Vanessa; great-grandchildren Brittany, Nathan, Mario, Kyle, Logan, DeAnna and Tyler as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are in the care of FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in San Jose.
Frank 'Rusty'
Russell Weiss
1957-2007
A memorial service for Frank "Rusty" Russell Weiss, 49, is 2 p.m. Aug. 18 at Walton's Funeral Home in Carson City.
Mr. Weiss died May 15, 2007, in Carson City. He was born July 25, 1957, in Fairfield, Calif., to Frank Rutter and Christine Catherine Weiss.
Mr. Weiss worked for 30 years for Contel/Verizon Telephone Co.
He was a classic Chevy car enthusiast known as Mr. 57.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Among his survivors are his children Melissa Weiss and Jennica Hoyt, both of Reno and Samantha Schmid of Seattle; brothers Jim of Sonora, Calif., and John of Carson City and two grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Walton's.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
Patrick Oliver Wilson
1932-2007
A private family funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Walton's Douglas County Mortuary in Minden for Patrick Oliver Wilson, 74, who died Aug. 6, 2007, at his Genoa home.
Mr. Wilson was born Dec. 29, 1932, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Guilford John and Ruth Christina Wilson. He was an U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict from 1951 to 1955.
He attended San Jose State University and earned his bachelor's degree in engineering.
He was a manufacturing engineer for Bently in Minden. He was a volunteer firefighter for Genoa, a member of E. Clampus Vitus and the International Chili Society.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Martin of Genoa; son Steve Wilson of Magalia, Calif.; daughters Teresa Rothney of Fairfield, Calif., Lisa Wilson and Debra Wilson, both of San Jose; sisters Ruthy, Peggy, Patty, Michelle and Jodie; brothers Dennis, Greg and Michael.
Arrangements are in the care of Walton's Douglas County Mortuary in Minden. Cremation to take place in Walton's Sierra Crematory in Carson City.
Friends are invited to attend an open reception at the family home, 170 Nixon St., Genoa at 2 p.m. Saturday.
There will also be a celebration of life, 6 p.m. Aug. 17, at the Wildrose Inn, Genoa.
