The R-C Morning Report

In about 90 minutes elementary school starts. When exactly? Well that depends on the school. For instance, Gardnerville Elementary starts at 8:50 a.m. Minden and Scarselli elementaries being class at 8:55 a.m. and Pinon Hills opens at 9:05 a.m. I didn't forget Meneley, but I couldn't find an opening time on the Web site. Just because I couldn't find it, doesn't mean it isn't there. More critical to anyone who doesn't brownbag it is that Douglas High School's lunch period is 11:33 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

We're down to the last few weeks in Farmers Market land. The Lampe Park Market is this morning. Minden's market was Tuesday night. Both wrap up in mid to late September, which isn't all that long from now.

The weather isn't doing all that much this week. It will be bouncing around the high 80s and the low 90s for a while. There will be a few clouds in the sky, but nothing to write home about.
