On behalf of the women's Sierra Nevada Active 20-30 Club No. 730, I would like to extend a sincere thank-you to all the donors that helped us with our annual children's shopping spree on Aug. 18 at Wal-Mart. Because of their generous donations and support, both the men's and women's 20-30 clubs were able to take 59 low-income and special needs children school shopping to start the school year. Each child received $100 to spend on clothes and shoes, and were then treated to breakfast at McDonald's.
The 20-30 Club thrives in Douglas County and we wouldn't be able to do the things we do without the full support of our community. Your generosity changed a child's life and we thank you for giving us a chance to help.
We would like to thank the following people and businesses that assisted with the project: Deborah Fleischer, Curtis and Sons Constructions, Bing Construction of Nevada, A & A Construction, Ethel Fleischer, Joan and John Batistich, HOOF-It Technologies, Syncon Homes, Ryder Homes of Nevada, Plant-It Nursery, Daniel P. Dykes, Wal-Mart.
