Knitting and crocheting
Linda Sawtelle teaches the Creativity through Knitting and Crocheting class, 9 a.m. to noon, Thursday Dec. 20 at the Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane in Gardnerville.
Sawtelle has 48 years of knitting experience and has been crocheting for 20 years. Each month she provides a new theme-related project. In December, the class enjoys a tea and will complete a quilt to present to someone at Christmastime.
There is no fee for the class but classroom space is limited. Call the senior center to confirm interest in the class, 783-6455.
Wise Old Owl Yoga
Jill Mustacchio gives free yoga instruction, 10-10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Carson Valley United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Road, Gardnerville.
