St. Gall Catholic Church is inviting residents to the ninth annual "Noel Christmas Dinner" for those who will be without family on Christmas day at St. Gall Pastoral Center, 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville.

The event begins at 1 p.m. and ends around 4 p.m. The dinner is traditional turkey and ham.

Anyone in the community, either single or a married couple, who would otherwise be alone on Christmas day, is invited to the dinner.

Organizer Rita Hill said it is a chance to meet new friends and become part of a new family.

Each person, or couple, will receive a written invitation to the event, which helps plan the amount of food to prepare.

"Event planners will need your name, address and phone number," Hill said. "Please let us know if you are single or a married couple."

To receive a written invitation or for more information call Hill at 783-9908. If she is unavailable, please leave your name and phone number on the answering machine.
