CareFlight air ambulance responded to two calls this weekend at Heavenly Mountain Resort.

On Saturday, Lake Valley Fire Protection District was called to Heavenly's California Lodge on a ski-related injury. The call came in at 11:37 a.m., and CareFlight was called shortly after. The nature of the injuries was not available. A Heavenly spokesman, however, said the injuries were not life-threatening.

Meanwhile, CareFlight was dispatched to the Stagecoach Lodge on the Nevada side after a male skier suffered a head injury, according to emergency dispatch reports.

The injured skier was brought to Stagecoach by ski patrol, according to dispatchers. CareFlight landed shortly after 4:50 p.m. and transported the skier to Barton Memorial Hospital around 5:15 p.m.
