Thursday's Carson Valley Genealogy Society program will be presented by Janice Frost, member of both the Daughters of the American Revolution and Colonial Dames 17th Century. She will show slides of the unusual artifacts and antiques on display at the DAR Museum in Washington, D.C.
Besides the slide presentation, Frost plans to talk about how to become members of DAR and the Colonial Dames 17th Century.
"Those who are interested in knowing how to become members of either organization will find the meeting most helpful," said Frost. "I look forward to seeing a lot of attendees."
The genealogy society meeting begins at 2:30 p.m. at the Douglas County Public Library in Minden.
Program chairman Nancy Powell extends an invitation to all.
"Please come and meet some very interesting and lovely folks who have a common interest in genealogy," she said.
