A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Carson Colony Gym, 2900 S. Curry Street, Carson City for Virginia Rachael Sargent Dutchy, 56, who died Dec. 29, 2006, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center in Carson City.
Mrs. Dutchy was born May 11, 1950, in Schurz to Robert A. and Bernice P. Sargent Sr.
She was a life-long resident of Carson City, a graduate of Carson High School and Reno School of Cosmetology.
She married Lew Dutchy and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Washoe Indian Tribe and Clear Creek Ward (C-Hill) Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her mother Bernice Sargent, her sister Mary E. Sargent and her husband Lew Dutchy. She is survived by her daughter Tamela Aldean Street of Carson City; son Lew Robert Dutchy of Carson City; her father Robert A. Sargent Sr. of Carson City; brothers Robert J. Sargent of Carson City and Wyman Bo Sargent of Carson City, as well as seven grandchildren, six nieces and nephews, 13 great nieces and nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Arrangements are in the care of Walton's Chapel of the Valley, 1281 Roop St., Carson City.
A viewing will be 9 a.m. Jan. 6 at the Carson Colony Gym. Burial will take place at the Stewart Indian Cemetery in Carson City.
