The Court Appointed Special Advocate Program, CASA of Douglas County, is a volunteer-driven organization committed to serving abused and neglected children and children who are involved in custody cases or other matters before the court. CASAs represent the voices of these children and are appointed by the court to advocate for their best interests. More CASA volunteers are needed for the children of Douglas County. Training for new volunteers is held annually and is scheduled to begin Feb. 2.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or would like to know more about CASA, call Terry or Linda at 782-6247.
