Soroptimists present Savor the Flavor

Soroptimist International of Carson Valley will present its 12th annual Savor the Flavor fundraiser on March 3. This event will celebrate food, friends, wine and micro brew tasting from 6-9 p.m. at Genoa Lakes Golf Resort.

The evening will feature wines and micro brews donated by some of the area's finest wineries and distributors, as well as a food fair, silent auction and door prizes. Additionally, raffle tickets will be sold for $5 each or five tickets for $20, for 100 $3 pull on Megabucks slot machine at the Carson Valley Inn. Included in the raffle is a two-night stay at the CVI and dinner for two at Fiona's Bar and Grill. All proceeds from "Savor the Flavor" benefit local community projects including student scholarships, youth programs, family assistance, environmental and health related projects.

Tickets are $40 in advance or $50 at the door. They are available through many local merchants including Artisans International Gallery, Carson Valley Mortgage, Sierra Nevada Trading Company in Minden Village, Stewart Title, Jen's Optical House, World Gym, Nevada State Bank, Tumblewind Antiques, Nevada Property Mortgage, Carson Valley Market, Carson Valley Inn Gift Shop, Neddenriep and Associates, Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Authority, REMAX Reality Affiliates and Historian Inn, Aloha Discount Liquor and Carson River Community Bank.
