Jason Carl Walker

1970-2007

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Dresslerville Colony Gym in Gardnerville for Jason Carl Walker, 36, who died in Gardnerville, Jan. 19, 2007.

Mr. Walker was born Dec. 4, 1970, in Schurz to Charles and Nadine-Toby Walker. Previously from Woodfords, he was a resident of Gardnerville for 25 years. He attended Douglas County schools and received heavy equipment training through Job Corp. He worked in construction. He was a respected member of the Washoe Tribe and loved for his witty and humorous personality.

He was preceded in death by his mother Nadine Toby-Walker. He is survived by his father Charles Walker Sr.; his brothers Charles Walker Jr. and Waldo Walker; his sister LaVelle Walker as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Arrangements are in the care of FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville. There will be a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Dresslerville Colony Gym.

Christopher Riordan Webber

1961-2007

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Jan. 27 at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville for Christopher Riordan Webber, 45, who died Jan. 16, 2007 after a long illness.

Mr. Webber was born Nov. 16, 1961 in Springfield, Mass. to Alice and George Webber. He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1979 and the University of Lowell, Mass. in 1984 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He worked at GE Energy/Bently Nevada for the last 15 years as a trainer/developer. He was an avid skier and served as a member of the National Ski Patrol for 18 years. He was actively involved in music ministry for the Catholic church both in Gardnerville and at South Lake Tahoe. He enjoyed working with the church's youth in both music and missionary services. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed swimming, soccer, camping, and hiking. He also loved animals.

Mr. Webber was preceded in death by his father George Webber and is survived by his mother, Alice Webber and brother Tom Webber, both of Massachusetts; two sisters, Suzanne Fitzgerald and her husband, Doug, of Massachusetts, and Diane Kagel of New Jersey; brother Steven of Massachusetts as well as one nephew, Ben, and four nieces, Morgan and Mackenzie Kagel of New Jersey, Kelly Fitzgerald of San Francisco and Kara Rutledge and her husband Matt, of Ann Arbor, Mich.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his name to the Carson Valley Swim Center, P.O. Box 1972 Minden, NV 89423.
