Staff Reports
Douglas High School students will be taking their finals today, Thursday and Friday. Students will be dismissed from school at 11:33 a.m. all three days.
Next week, the school will be on late-start schedules Jan. 31 and Feb.1 to conduct testing.
The late start allows sophomores to take the Iowa Test of Education Development and seniors who haven't done so to take their mathematics and writing High School Proficiency Examinations. Testing begins at 7:40 a.m. and ends at 10 a.m.
All juniors and seniors who have passed their proficiency examinations will begin school at 10:10 a.m. Students who ride the bus will have a schedule distributed by bus drivers.
Bus runs for all sophomores and seniors taking the examinations will be at normal times.
