Voluntary offseason conditioning sessions and workouts for fall sports at Douglas High School will be conducted throughout the summer.
In order to participate, athletes must have been cleared through the high school athletic department.
Douglas is offering a final drug, alcohol and tobacco presentation Aug. 8 at 6 p.m. in the high school commons.

FOOTBALL
The varsity squad will meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays through Aug. 2 from 7 to 10 a.m. at the high school.
The first official day of practice in Aug. 9.
Junior varsity starts July 9 from 3 to 5 p.m., continues July 10 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and then goes every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. through Aug. 2.
The freshman squad starts July 10 and will run Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 5 p.m.
Players are encouraged to wear a white T-shirt, black shorts and athletic shoes. Players should bring cleats and a jump rope to each workout as well.
VOLLEYBALL
The team will hold open gym sessions on July 24 and 25 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.; on July 26 at the Zephyr Cove beach courts. The team will be carpooling for the younger players.
Workouts continue July 31, Aug. 1 and Aug. 2 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Douglas High School.
Two-a-day conditioning sessions run Aug. 6 through 9 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m.
A final conditioning session is scheduled for Aug. 10 from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
Tryouts begin at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 13.
All workouts will be at the Douglas big and small gyms. Players are asked to bring water, sunscreen and kneepads.

BOYS' SOCCER
An alumni game is scheduled for Aug. 3 and conditioning starts Aug. 8 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Douglas soccer fields. Workouts continue at the same time on Aug. 9 and 10 and run from 7:30 to 9 a.m. on Aug. 11.
Tryouts begin Aug. 13 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and run at the same time through the next two days. The first official day of team practice in Aug. 16.
GIRLS' SOCCER
Open field workouts are scheduled July 23-26 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. with a full scrimmage from 6 to 8 p.m. on July 24.
Workouts continue July 30 from 9 to 10:30 a.m., a scrimmage July 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Aug. 1 and 2 from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
The team's youth soccer clinic is scheduled for Aug. 6 to Aug. 9 and tryouts begin Aug. 13.
CROSS COUNTRY
Voluntary offseason conditioning workouts start Aug. 6 at 6 p.m. by the high school tennis courts.
BOYS' TENNIS
The team is planning conditioning and skills workouts every Saturday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. through the summer.

Voluntary workouts are planned two to three times each week beginning July 23. Time and location are still to be determined.
The first day of tryouts and practice is Aug. 13.
GIRLS' GOLF
The first official day of practice is Aug. 13 at 3:15 p.m. at the Genoa Lakes Golf Club, Lakes Course.
Players must have their own set of clubs and proper golf attire.
