The Dirty Dog Wash is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane, Gardnerville.
In addition to dog washes, nail trims and pet health consultations, there will be refreshments available for purchase and entertainment by McClain's Mobile Music and DJ Services.
Donations are requested for each service or consultation. Gently used or new pet supplies such as crates, beds, collars, leashes and bowls will be accepted for donation or trade.
Dr. Linda Miner, other local veterinarians and technicians and Douglas Animal Welfare Group volunteers will be on hand to help and answer questions.
All the donations received go to the Douglas Animal Welfare Group.
The nonprofit group DAWG uses donations to help improve the lives of animals at the Douglas County Animal Shelter.
