Hot Springs fire well away from any structures

The Hot Springs fire, currently burning at approximately six acres near Mexican Dam northeast of Johnson Lane, is said to be a good distance away from any structures.

Reports of flames 10 to 15 feet have come in.

Air attack has been dispatched and the first drop was over the south flank of the fire, nearest to Johnson Lane.

BLM air resources are fighting the fire, which is burning northwest toward Carson City.
