What light on Minden window breaks.

'Tis the Library and the Nevada Shakespeare Company is the sun.

Well that didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped. Anyway, the folks who put on Shakespeare at Sand Harbor will be at the Minden branch of the Douglas County Public Library this evening to present a performance based on "Romeo and Juliet" for the Get a Clue reading program. The performance starts at 6:30 p.m.

There were a couple of small fires near highways in Douglas County on Monday, including a 10th of an acre off Highway 395 and Jake's Hill and another in Glenbrook. I don't know what caused either fire, but we've seen and heard lots of cases where people are tossing cigarette butts out of the windows of their cars. It's really dry and really hot outside and a lit cigarette could easily start a fire.

There were two accidents in Minden around lunchtime on Monday, neither amounted to much, though they blocked traffic through town for a bit.

Here's something I found on the state's Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation the other day.
