Thunderstorms are expected to pop up again today starting at about 1 p.m. and continuing through 11 p.m. as firefighters clean up the lightning strikes from Friday's storm.
The largest of those fires, the Larson fire in Coleville, is remaining stable at 150 acres and the Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center is reporting air tankers and eight engines have been pulled off the fire.
Fire controls on Highway 395 through Coleville have been lifted, but motorists are advised to watch out for fire vehicles on the highway near the fire.
Lightning set a half-dozen fires between Coleville and Kingsbury on Friday and punched a hole in the roof of a Genoa Lakes home. There has been no report of injuries or further damage to structures.
