Severe thunderstorm headed for Gardnerville

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Gardnerville by the National Weather Service. The warning was issued at 3:05 p.m.

Doppler radar is showing a severe thunderstrom capable of producing dime-size hail and damaging winds of more than 60 mph. The storm was clocked moving north at 10 mph at 2:57 p.m. and should arrive in the next 5 minutes. The storm will produce severe blowing dust and visibility below one mile. Travelers along Highway 395 to south of Minden will be affected.
