For the second time in three years, a local team won the Outlaw Invitational Softball Tournament at Lampe Park during Carson Valley Days.

Taylor Made, a team including former Douglas High baseball standouts Bruce Jacobsen, Kenny Nicoll, Matt Jacobsen, Matt Tretton and Cal Lewis (fresh off a strong season at South Dakota State) and Gardnerville residents Tim Davis and Bill Nickerson, went undefeated through the tournament, winning the title with a 16-14 win over Ben's Flooring Company.

The same core group won the tournament two years ago while playing under the team name Arsenal. That ended the local drought.

This year's tournament featured 20 teams, which is as big as the bracket will allow for the annual two-day competition.
