Travel planner available

The Carson Valley Visitors Authority has announced the release of the Magical Carson Valley Travel Planner featuring Gardnerville, Genoa, Minden and Topaz Lake.

The planner was produced in association with Stockdale Creative of Minden.

The Carson Valley Travel Planner 37-page guide includes a detailed map, lodging facilities, leisure, sports and recreation activities, food/drink and entertainment options, weather and road information, shopping, special events and wedding facilities, schedule of events, as well as a historical recap of Carson Valley.

Additionally, features include a pub crawl, historic walking tours, off-highway vehicles trails and hiking trails.

For the past several weeks Carson Valley tourism partners have been working with visitors authority staff and the team at Stockdale Creative to design and create the guide.

"This has been a critically important project for us to showcase what Carson Valley has to offer visitors in a visually entertaining way designed to stimulate visitor interest to the traveling public and to grow tourism, a vital part of our local economy," said Tourism Manager Lisa Voss.

The Carson Valley Visitors Authority travel planner was funded, in part, by a grant from the Nevada Commission on Tourism.
