The Douglas County Sheriff's Office reported 26 contacts for domestic violence May 30-June 12.
There were 14 reports of verbal domestics including seven arrests for domestic battery, one arrest for violation of a protection order, three reviews by the District Attorney's office for violation of a protection order or prosecution for domestic battery and one unfounded battery pending more information.
Eighteen juveniles witnessed domestic violence.
The Family Support Council submitted 10 requests to East Fork Justice Court for temporary restraining orders with seven approvals, two denials and one pending a hearing and six anti-stalking and harassment orders with one approval, four denials and one pending hearing.
Connie Richardson, Douglas County Sheriff's Office domestic violence prevention coordinator, said the average range for domestic violence contacts is 12-16 per week for this time frame The average number of children witnessing domestic violence is 9-11 per week with juvenile suspects at 0-2 per week.
