Other people's business: Spa store plans big splash

All Pro Spas is having a grand opening party 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 7 to celebrate their move into the old Valley Do-It Center, 1587 Highway 395, Minden.

All Pro Spas was previously located in the Raley's shopping center and has been around for eight years.

Owners Angela and Daron Stockert now have three times the space for their store and have added gazebos, red cedar saunas and swim spas to the merchandise and services they offer.

The swim spa, a water propulsion system measuring 17 feet by 8 feet and holding 2,500 gallons of water, is planned to be on display during the grand opening party.

The Valley Cruisers will make an appearance during the July 7 event. There will be cooking demonstrations of barbecue grills from Minden Grill Co., hot dogs, hamburgers, cold drinks, music and grand opening specials on merchandise.

All Pro Spas is open now with regular hours, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. They offer water chemistry testing, routine service, spa repairs and maintenance. Information at 782-1263.

There are two new faces at Elations Salon, 1512 Highway 395, Suite 5, Gardnerville.

Nail technician Ginny Hammond has 25 years' experience in acrylic nails, manicures, pedicures and nail art. She is available 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

Hair stylist Jackie Jeffries specializes in color, cuts, extensions, and special occasion make-up and up dos. Jeffries is available Wednesday and Saturday.
