Kimberly E. Anderson
1954-2007
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Tahoe Community Church at Stateline on Kingsbury Grade for Kimberly Anderson, 53, who died June 20, 2007, at her home in Zephyr Cove.
She was born May 18, 1954, in Michigan, to Roy E. and Elizabeth Anderson. She married Darryl M. Harris in 1982 in Pontiac, Mich., and lived in Pontiac, Winnemucca. She was a resident of Zephyr Cove for 23 years. She was a special education teacher for 24 years, most recently working 12 years for the Douglas County School District at Kingsbury Middle School. She also taught at Carson and South Lake Tahoe Unified school districts.
She loved to swim, garden and ski in the winter as well as travel and she was an avid reader. She enjoyed helping children through her church and as an educator. She was a member of the Tahoe Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her father Roy E. Anderson in 1982. She is survived by her husband Darryl M. Harris of Zephyr Cove; her daughter Hannah Harris of Zephyr Cove; her mother Elizabeth Anderson of Clarkston, Mich.; her sister and brother-in-law Cynthia and John Niblack of Lapeer, Mich., and her twin brother and his wife Timothy and Suzi Anderson of Prescott, Ariz.
Arrangements are in the care of Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City.
