The Tahoe Douglas Rotary Club is helping to organize a coalition of concerned local businesses who will help the victims of the Angora fire in South Lake Tahoe. Jana Ney Walker, owner of Lakefront Wedding Chapel and Sealed with a Kiss, is spearheading the efforts of Tahoe Businesses Who Care. She is leading a group of local businesses that will donate a percentage of their gross revenues through Saturday to assist the victims of this fire.

"Tahoe Businesses Who Care raised $50,000 for victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001. We should more than double that effort for our friends, neighbors and community members who are in dire need right now," said Walker.

She has agreed to donate 30 percent of the gross receipts from both of her businesses. Walker is also accepting in-kind donations at both locations.

If you would like to participate in this program, please contact Jana Ney Walker at (530) 544-6119 or Joe Zarachoff of the Tahoe Douglas Rotary Club at (775) 588-6616.

The Angora Fire has already destroyed hundreds of residential structures and homes and displaced hundreds of South Lake Tahoe families.
