The Associated Press is reporting that there are no indications that the Angora fire, which has consumed 2,730 acres near South Lake Tahoe, was set intentionally.
The fire's point of origin has been estimated at 300 to 400 yards south of Seneca Pond, a popular recreational area.
Investigators have cordoned off the area and will be searching for what might have sparked the blaze. The Associated Press also said that fire officials presume the fire was started by humans because there were no lightning strikes in the area Sunday.
