Carson City dealership buys Valley Chevrolet

Michael Hohl has sealed a deal to purchase Carson Valley Chevrolet in Minden.

The Carson City auto dealer obtained a fictitious firm listing on Feb. 21, according to the Douglas County Clerk's Office.

Named Michael Hohl Carson Valley Chevrolet, the purchase reportedly affects both the Minden dealership and the Carson City dealership.

Carson Valley Chevrolet purchased the former C.O.D. Garage in 2003 from the Hellwinkel family.

Robb Hellwinkel confirmed Thursday that Carson City businessman Michael Hohl purchased Carson Valley Chevrolet/Buick dealership in Minden.

"Michael Hohl is actually buying out the Carson Valley Chevrolet organization," said Hellwinkel. "I'm leasing to Michael Hohl and the old tenants are being bought out."

Hellwinkel is the owner of the property at 1601 Highway 395 in Minden where Carson Valley Chevrolet/Buick has been doing business since they bought C.O.D. Motor Co. in 2003.

Michael Hohl Motor Co. includes Hohl Buick/GMC/Cadillac at 3700 S. Carson St., the Honda/Subaru dealership at 4500 N. Carson St. as well as Hohl RV Centers in Carson City and Reno.

Calls to Carson Valley Chevrolet were referred to Michael Hohl. Messages were left for Hohl at his Carson City dealership, but were not returned by deadline.
