Minden Elementary School had about 200 science projects and inventions at their first science fair in many years on Feb. 27.
There were about 50 volunteers from law enforcement, clergy, school board and the business community, as well as private residents, to judge nearly 250 science projects at Meneley Elementary School on March 1.
Many Douglas schools held science and engineering fairs to send projects and inventions to the Western Regional Science and Engineering Fair on through Saturday at Lawlor Events Center in Reno.
