Gaylene Hearold


1954-2007


No services are planned for Nevada City, Calif., resident Gaylene Hearold, 52, who died March 3, 2007.


Mrs. Hearold was born April 25, 1954 to Jim Stever and Naomi Hellwinkel in Markleeville. She married Danny Hearold in 1996 in Reno.


She is survived by her husband Danny Hearold of Nevada City; her son Christopher and his wife Tammy Miller of Washington; son Johnathan and his wife Amy of Colfax; son Michael Miller, also of Colfax and three grandchildren.


Arrangements are in the care of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary in Grass Valley. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to University of California, Davis, Animal Hospital.




Jacqueline


'Jacqui' L. Mobley


1933-2007


A memorial service was Saturday for Jacqueline "Jacqui" L. Mobley, 73, who died Feb. 19, 2007.


Mrs. Mobley was born March 28, 1933, in Norwich, N.Y. to Donald Tuttle and Dorothy M. Campbell. She retired from Anchorage Municipal Telephone Co. She was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary 3630, holding the offices of auxiliary president for four years, district president for one year and secretary for two years.


She was a 16-year resident of Topaz Ranch Estates. She is survived by her husband Daryl L. Mobley, one brother Jerry Tuttle of Georgia; four children, Patti Smith of Gardnerville, Barbara Lee of Minden, Michael Dittman of Pennsylvania and Rick Dittman of Washington. She is also survived by six step children, sons Gary, Richard and Rodney Mobley, daughters Judy Prins, Jean Heuer and Jane Smith of Oregon as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

William 'Bill'


H. Norton III


1959-2007


William "Bill" H. Norton III, 48, a Wellington resident since July 2006, died Feb. 24, 2007, in Carson City.


Mr. Norton was born Jan. 17, 1959, in New London, Conn., to William H. Jr. and Alice C. Norton.


He graduated from Pacifica High School in Garden Grove, Calif.


He married Marlene Barron in 1997, in Las Vegas. Before moving to Wellington, Mr. Norton lived in Southern California.


Among his survivors are his mother of Gardnerville; wife; daughters Elesha, Cassidy and Amanda; sister, Donna Haney of Incline Village; one niece; and one nephew.

Mildred I. Pudvah


1909-2007


No services are planned for Mildred I. Pudvah, 97, who died Feb. 21, 2007 at Evergreen Mountain View Home in Carson City.


Mrs. Pudvah was born July 4, 1909 in Peacham, Vt. to Andrew and Charlotte Hastie.


She attended school in Peacham and married Roland E. Pudvah of Wells River, Vt. where they lived until 1980 when they moved to Gardnerville to be near their daughter.


She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, knitting, braiding and hooking rugs as well as gardening.


She was active for several years in the Young At Heart Club at the Douglas County Senior Center in Gardnerville and she loved to play bingo there.


She was preceded in death by her husband Roland and her siblings, Teresa Crowe, John, William and Harleigh Hastie.


She is survived by her daughters Dorene Herriot and husband David of Hardwick, Vt.; Betty Shelley and husband Rudy of Zephyr Cove, and Priscilla Saarinen of Pompano Beach, Fla., six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.


Arrangements are in the care of FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Carson City.


After cremation, burial will take place in the family plot in Wells River, Vt. at a later date.




Dorothy Louise Utz


1943-2007


A graveside service will be 1 p.m. March 9 at Vacaville Elmira Cemetery, Vacaville, Calif. for Dorothy Louise Utz, 64, who died March 2, 2007, in Carson City.


Mrs. Utz, a 15-year Carson City resident, was born Jan. 8, 1943, in Woodland, Calif. to Wilbert Alton Ballard and Rosa Opal Showalter. She graduated from Clayton Valley High School in Concord, Calif. and married Walter John Utz, Aug. 30, 1975 in Reno.


She was the owner/operator of Utz Plumbing in Vacaville and laundromats. She enjoyed the Douglas County Senior Center and loved playing bingo at the Carson Nugget.


She enjoyed various crafts like crocheting and making dolls. She loved her time with her children and grandchildren. When she couldn't be with them she crafted and did puzzles.


She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Utz, May 26, 1996 in Carson City; her brother Gene Ballard of California; her parents and her son-in-law Jim Walters in Fairbanks, Alaska. She is survived by daughters Ada Walters of Fairbanks; Marian Singleton of Dayton; son and his wife Joseph and Kim Singleton of Dayton; sister Judy Battye of Sun Valley; brothers Bill and his wife Francis Ballard of Arizona; David and his wife Sandra Ballard of Sun Valley; Tom and his wife Marcia Ballard, also of Sun Valley; grandchildren Jason O'Brien of Carson City, Joey Wheat of Dayton, Jamie Walters of Fairbanks, Alaska, Amanda Singleton of Carson City, Howard and Kristina Fraser of Carson City and numerous nieces and nephews.
