The R-C Morning Report

There's a pretty big blot of blue headed due north on the weather radar. It's mostly missing Carson Valley, but looks like it could make for a damp commute to Reno or points east, such as Yerington. Those would be the isolated rain showers the Weather Service is predicting a 20 percent chance of precipitation. Otherwise, the high today is supposed to hit 59. That should mean the end to any snow still left on the ground. The high Tuesday will crack 60 and keep going up through the week. Temperatures in the Valley are supposed to hit 70 degrees by next weekend.

Time for meeting week in Carson Valley. On Tuesday, Genoa, Gardnerville and the Douglas County Parks & Rec boards hold their meetings. On Wednesday it's Minden and the Gardnerville Ranchos General Improvement District. All meetings' start times vary. I'll have more on what's going on at the meetings as they occur

As of 6:35 a.m., the roads are clear, with no accidents or incidents between here and Reno.
